I'm New Here

Welcome ...

We are glad you stopped by to visit our website  We believe that you are not here by chance or accident (mainly because you intentionally clicked our site) but we believe that God is using the Fulshear church of Christ family to help others to get to know Him, His Son, His i, and His people.  You will learn a little about who we are and what we believe on this site. You will learn a lot more by meeting us in person. So what we are really hoping for is that you will come by and worship with us and allow us the opportunity to meet you in person and answer any questions you might have!

Who We Are ...

We want you to know up front that we are not a perfect group of people and have the same struggles and hardships that everyone is ultimately challenged with in this life (Romans 3:23).  We are learning to trust our loving Father God more each day, growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ His Son, walking with His Spirit, and depending on the encouragement and help from God’s family (the church) as we walk in this world of sin.

Our desire is to help you grow spiritually!  If you are not a Christian, we want to help you to obey our Lord and enter into a saving relationship with our God through His sacrifice on the cross where He died for sin. What we believe about how to follow Jesus Christ and become a disciple comes directly from His Word and not our personal opinion about what should be done in order to be saved.  We strive to follow the Lord and His Word, and we rely solely on Him! We want to help you overcome any personal challenges you are experiencing by providing accountability, counsel, and understanding from God’s Word. We simply ask you to come and walk with us as we embrace this journey together with Jesus and head toward our heavenly home.

We Have A Purpose ...

We want you to know that we have a purpose for our existence as a church family!  We believe that God desires for us to serve the greater Fort Bend County, while focusing specifically on Fulshear, South Katy, and North Richmond.  The Fulshear church of Christ was planted in Fulshear in September 2013 to help spread the message of Jesus our Lord and bring hope to the this area (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

We ultimately have our beginning as a church dating back to the first century and from New Testament teachings and examples we find our faith, practice as disciples, encouragement for righteous living and organizational model.  This will always be essential for our existence as God's family and therefore we find our meaning and purpose in the will of God as expressed in the New Testament.

When You Visit Us ...

We realize that visiting a new place can be somewhat awkward and uncertain. We want to take a moment and explain what you will find on your visit with us.

On the 4th Sunday of the month you are invited to stay for lunch and the devotional that will follow to end our day.  There will be no evening services on the 4th Sunday of the month.

We begin our Bible Classes at 9AM on Sunday Mornings.  We also have mid-week Bible Classes at 7 PM on Wednesday Evenings.  They are taught by encouraging and capable teachers. Our classes are appropriate for every age and engaging using the Bible as the center of our study.

We worship at 10AM and 5PM on Sundays. When we worship, faithful men will lead us in:

  • Public reading from the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  • Congregational singing (a cappella) that magnifies our faith in God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16).  We sing praises together as a group of believers. The whole congregation sings and all are encouraged to participate.

  • Preaching the word(2 Timothy 4:2; Romans 10:14-15; 1 Corinthians 1:23): We come together to be encouraged, challenged, and exhorted toward a deeper faith, a stronger walk, and a more meaningful relationship with Jesus. You will also find an opportunity to respond to God’s message during the invitation song at the end of the lesson. Responses may include requests for prayer (James 5:16), a public confession of belief in Christ (Matthew 10:32-33), repentance of sins defining a change in one’s lifestyle to reflect commitment to Christ (Luke 13:3; Acts 17:30), a desire to identify oneself as a member of the Fulshear church of Christ congregation (Hebrews 10:25), or a desire to become a child of God by responding with belief in Jesus (John 8:24), Repentance (luke 13:3-5), Confessing that Christ is the Son of God ( Matthew 10:32-33 ), being Baptized into Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-7; Acts 8:34-39; Mark 16:16), and living faithfully to Him in life ( Revelation 2:10 ).

  • Weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:24-30; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29). By New Testament example, we remember Jesus’ death each first day of the week. We do this because Jesus wanted us to remember. We do not want to forget His sacrifice, His death, and His most incredible resurrection!

  • Giving from the means of which God has blessed us. Guests are not expected to participate, but may do so should they choose ( 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 8; 2 Corinthians 9 ). We give according to the New Testament example, to help further God’s Kingdom. We give because He gave everything. Everything we have is a blessing from God. We are just temporary stewards of these material possessions.

Please come and meet us, worship with us, and walk with us as we embrace Jesus and enjoy the journey with Him!
